Our Tale

It was a dark stormy night, this night in the lighthouse.  Billy hadn't rowed across to the bay for our supplies because of the waves and the reef.  '5 days now', Billy and I were beginning to feel the nag within our stomachs.  It was now midnight and the light was lit and all was well for our duties.  I yelled "Billy, get the oilskins out, we go a crabbing." Billy and I loaded the dinghy with about 8 crab traps, a reel of line, and a dozen orange marker floats.  As we fought the waves and laid our line 'n floats, the thought of a pot of fresh steamed crabs made my mouth water.   It was a good 2 hours by the time we finished dropping down our last trap. and 'me arms were sore'.  Billy began to row us back towards the lighthouse as I bailed out buckets of that saltwater that kept us company in our little dingy. I saw the first of the markers as Billy rowed the boat, and felt that we might be awful lucky to have a crab so soon, but I thought 'what the heck'. As Billy kept the dingy reasonably steady, I pull up the line and checked the trap.  Low and behold, the Sea was good to us, and 4 big crabs were in the trap. I got them into the boat, re-baited and dropped the trap back into the sea, and to the Lighthouse we went. Billy yelled with JOY, "Them there are JOLLY GOOD TRAPS skipper. I said "Yes, JOLLYGOODTRAPS Billy."
